Answer: (d) The poor farmers and artisans

Explanation:

When Britain were the rulers of India and indeed a lot of their previous colonies, they demanded farm produce such as grain from the farmers to feed their people back in Britain.

They did this at the expense of poor farmers who were ripped off and saw their harvests taken for meagre amounts.

Artisans also suffered under British rule as Britain placed restrictions on the goods being exported by artisans. British artificial works then saturated India thereby killing off the market for artisan goods..

Often, in written English text, you will find words from _____ that have been adopted into _____.
Anna007 [38]

Answer:

Foreign languages / English

Explanation:

Writing is a human speech that is either written or spoken. An expression can be established from a foreign word that has been formulated to mean something else in English. This therefore enabled people to converse easily with each other.

Language can also be loosely used in easing the traffic of words that do not have a definite meaning. One can easily learn to use some foreign words without realizing their origin, but in the end, they tend to be used permanently in English.
