A refrigeration company held a 2-hour training program for 5 employees. The employees were all paid their regular wages for the

time they were released from their regular work. These wages totaled $340 for the group. Refreshments were served at a total cost of $5 per person. The program instructor’s fee was $75. Supplies, including new procedure manuals, were provided to each employee for a total of $250. What was the total cost for the seminar to the nearest cent?

The solution to the question how much was the total cost for the seminar is shown below:

Cost 1 = $ 340 for the total wages for the group
cost 2 =$5 x 5 employees, this is for the refreshments
cost 3 = $75 for the instructors fee
cost 4 = $250 for the supplies and others

Total cost = cost1 +cost2 +cost3 + cost 4
Total cost = $340 + ($5*5) + $75 + 250
Total cost = $690

Express the rate 50 yards per minute in feet per second. Please answer with supporting work.
DiKsa [7]
First, multiply 50*3 to get the answer in feet which is 150 ft.

Then, divide 150 ft by 60 which would be 2.5 ft per second.

Implicit differentiation of 1/x +1/y=5 y(4)= 4/19<br> y'(4)=?
Aneli [31]
\frac{1}{x} +\frac{1}{y} = 5\\\\x^{-1}+y^{-1}=5\\

Above, I changed the fraction form of x and y into exponential form so it is easier to see the differentiation. Now, we can differentiate:

-1x^{-2}+-1y^{-2}\frac{dy}{dx}=5\\\\\frac{-1}{x^2}-\frac{1}{y^2}\frac{dy}{dx}=5\\\\-\frac{1}{y^2}\frac{dy}{dx}=5+\frac{1}{x^2}\\\\\frac{dy}{dx}=-5y^2-\frac{y^2}{x^2}

Now that we have dy/dx, we can plug in the x, which is 4, and the y, which is 4/19. We know these values of x and y because your question stated y(4) = 4/19.

\frac{dy}{dx}=-5(\frac{4}{19})^2-\frac{(\frac{4}{19})^2}{(4)^2}\\\\\frac{dy}{dx}=-5(\frac{16}{361})-\frac{(\frac{16}{361})}{16}\\\\\frac{dy}{dx}=\frac{-80}{361}-\frac{1}{361}\\\\\frac{dy}{dx}=\frac{-81}{361}

Brittany is arranging her shoes. For the amount of shoes she has, she knows she can use either rows of 4 with none left over, or
yawa3891 [41]

Answer:

12 shoes

Step-by-step explanation:

Because 6 times 2 is 12 and 4 times 3 is 12. And that is the lowest common number that they share.
