Answer:

Hope this helps

Explanation:

It took two men to wrestle Rome back from chaos and turn a republic into an empire. In the first century BC, Rome was a republic. Power lay in the hands of the Senate, elected by Roman citizens. But the senators were fighting for power between themselves.

This photograph shows Egyptian Premier Gamal Abdel Nasser (left) talking with Saudi Arabia's Premier Prince Feisal (center) and
Leya [2.2K]

You forgot to attach the picture but I found the pic from other sources. The correct answer to this would be:

“He believed in a secular Egypt.”

Secularism is the belief of the separation of government institutions and the persons directed to symbolize the state from religious institutions and religious dignitaries. In this case, Egyptian Premier Gamal Abdel Nasser wore something (tuxedo perhaps) that was not symbolic of his religious status unlike the other two prime ministers.

After World War II, why did the USSR want to control countries in Eastern Europe?
Ipatiy [6.2K]

The right answer is The USSR needed to protect its western border from future attacks.

Besides the Ally victory in the WWII, the USSR lost approximately 20 million Russians. Worried about future attacks, Stalin planned to build a buffer zone of communist friendly states around Russia, in order to avoid future invasion. Something that happened during the WWII and heavily cost millions of Russian lives battling against German invasion.

The conclusion was to take control over Eastern Europe (EE). As the Red Army drove the Nazis back, it occupied large areas of EE, and made sure communist governments took control of power. The Communists controlled the army and chased its opponents. By 1949, all the governments of Eastern Europe, except Yugoslavia, were associated with the Stalinist regime.
