Answer: saying the opposite thing usually for humor

Here is an example of irony:

Denise threw the bottle on the florr while John was looking. John asked "Did you drop the bottle?" Denise replied "No, I thoguht you were looking" with irony.

I believe that the answer is “ they aren’t sufficiently brief” because the irony is that he’s expected to make brief summaries so since they aren’t brief then that’s irony.
