You need to buy the supplies to carpet a 15 foot by 14 foot room. The padding costs 0.89 per square foot and the carpeting costs
Troyanec [42]
Area of the room =  14*15 = 210 ft^2
Cost padding = 210*89 =   186.90
Cost of carpet =   210 * 2.99 = 627.90
Perimeter of the room = 2*15 + 2*14 =  58 ft
Cost of strip = 58*0.19 =  11.02

Total cost of supplies = 186.90 + 627.90 + 11.02  =   825.82  Answer

Can someone please help me coz i really need this :(<br><br>i need serious answer :(
sp2606 [1]

Answer:

1. DB = 10 as diagonals of isosceles trapezoid are congruent

2. ∠DAB and ∠BCD are supplementary angles

  • m∠BCD = 180° - 120° = 60°

3. ∠BCD is congruent with ∠ADC as trapezoid is isosceles

  • m∠BCD = m ∠ADC = 65°

4. AB = 15, DC = 25,

  • EB = 1/2(AB + DC) as midline
  • EB = 1/2(15 + 25) = 20

5. m∠ADC = 2x - 10, m∠ABC = 3x + 40

<u>These are supplementary, find x first:</u>

  • 2x - 10 + 3x + 40 = 180
  • 5x + 30 = 180
  • 5x = 150
  • x = 30
  • m∠BCD = m∠ADC = 2*30 - 10 = 50°

How do I add and subtract fractions? I'm really stuck on this I even asked my mom and my older brother but my brother didn't res
Aloiza [94]
You need a common denominator in order to add/subtract fractions. for example:

1/4+3/2=?
1/4+6/4=7/4

what i did there was multiply 3/2 by 2/2 to get the denominator to equal 4. the reason it’s 2/2 is cause what you do to the bottom is what you do to the top.

3/2(2/2)= 6/4

According to the College Board, SAT critical reading scores from the 2015 school year for high school students in the United Sta
vagabundo [1.1K]

Answer:

61.1% of  high school student who took the SAT in 2015 will have a critical reading SAT score between 400 and 600 points.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the following information in the question:

Mean, μ = 495

Standard Deviation, σ = 116

We are given that the distribution of scores from the 2015 school year for high school students in the United States is a bell shaped distribution that is a normal distribution.

Formula:

z_{score} = \displaystyle\frac{x-\mu}{\sigma}

P(SAT score between 400 and 600 points)

P(400 \leq x \leq 600) = P(\displaystyle\frac{400 - 495}{116} \leq z \leq \displaystyle\frac{600-495}{116}) = P(-0.818 \leq z \leq 0.905)\\\\= P(z \leq 0.905) - P(z < -0.818)\\= 0.8173 - 0.2064= 0.6109 \approx 61.1\%

P(400 \leq x \leq 600) = 61.1\%

Thus, 61.1% of  high school student who took the SAT in 2015 will have a critical reading SAT score between 400 and 600 points.
