Pg 1:
background info on a topic, then claim (ex. cheese is the superior dairy food)
pg 2:
provide a fact, or quote, supporting your claim and then explain it in further detail. (ex. cheese is popular, and used in various dishes universally. the sheer popularity proves superiority of cheese.)
pg 3: repeat pg 2 with a different fact
pg 4:
be on the offense for the opposing argument. state a negative fact about it and explain into further detail. (yogurt is nasty, and reviews suggest that the majority of people don’t like the taste or texture. yogurt does that have the same popularity cheese has, proving is inferiority.) acknowledge other claims and defend your own.
pg 5:
summarize your thesis. wrap up any other points you may have, and leave the reader with a thought/feeling

What does this line of dialogue reveal about Rainsford’s character?
Dovator [93]
This line of dialogue shows that Rainsford is a rational man. He does not believe in superstition. He is aware that people in a group may disregard their own decision making and critical thinking facilities in favour of confomity within the group. If a superstitious idea begins to gain traction amongst the men, they may succumb to mass hysteria. Rainsford hopes to calm the fears of the listener by telling them indirectly to disregard their own fears about the island.

Answer:

Explanation:

'Role' is demonstrated as the set of responsibilities that is necessary to accomplish a 'job'. In corporate terminology, it is demonstrated as a 'designation that denotes an affiliated set of skills, education, knowledge, or attitude' that an individual requires to possess to fit in that role.

In the given example, the act or skills displayed by the two men who have applied for a job exemplifies the concept of 'role'. It implies that they attempt to fit in the 'role'(job) by displaying the necessary skills to acquire that position. They display the 'level of authority' along with the skills that are necessary to perform the specific task and function in that 'role'.
