Illusion [34]

A body of underground water, usually comprised of water saturated regolith, is permeable, and replenishes lakes and streams, is known as a aquifer.

Groundwater to be able to get into a rock with good porosity it must also have good permeability. For a rock to be permeable and for water to move through it, the pore spaces between the grains in the rock must be connected. Permeability is therefore a measure of the ability of water to move through a rock.

An aquifer is a body of rock and/or sediment that holds groundwater. Groundwater is the word used to describe precipitation that has infiltrated the soil beyond the surface and collected in empty spaces underground. There are two general types of aquifers confined and unconfined.

Fantom [35]

Answer:

1.  first part Gene expression is the process by which the instructions in our DNA are converted into a functional product, such as a protein. When the information stored in our DNA? is converted into instructions for making proteins or other molecules, it is called gene expression.  second part Double-stranded DNA consists of two polynucleotides that are arranged such that the nitrogenous bases within one polynucleotide are attached to the nitrogenous bases within another polynucleotide by way of special chemical bonds called hydrogen bonds.

2. Gene regulation is an important part of normal development. Genes are turned on and off in different patterns during development to make a brain cell look and act different from a liver cell or a muscle cell, for example. Gene regulation also allows cells to react quickly to changes in their environments.

3. Non-coding DNA sequences do not code for amino acids. Most non-coding DNA lies between genes on the chromosome and has no known function. Other non-coding DNA, called introns, is found within genes. Some non-coding DNA plays a role in the regulation of gene expression.

The Meselson-Stahl experiment demonstrated which of the following about DNA replication? View Available Hint(s) The Meselson-Sta
anyanavicka [17]

Answer:

This experiment proved that DNA replicated semiconservatively; half the original polynucleotide is conserved in each of the two copies

Explanation:

Semi-conservative mode of replication means that the two strands of DNA unwind from each other, and each of themacts as a template for synthesis of a new, complementary strand. As a result, two formed DNA moleculesc ontain one original strand and one new strand.

Meselson and Stahl experiment showed this model by labeling the DNA of bacteria across generations using isotopes of nitrogen ( patterns of DNA labeling showed the mode of replication).
