Explanation:

hey Amy,

going on a picnic is such a great idea. I think we should go to Van Cortlandt Park.

You can approach a leisurely lunch at this massive north Bronx site in one of two ways. You can vie for table and lawn space at the Allen Shandler Recreation Area, which is easy to access via public transportation and close to grills, baseball fields and playgrounds. Or if you’re craving a more off-the-beaten-path experience, disappear into the Northwest Forest’s 188 acres of massive oaks and wildflowers—or, just west of there, Croton Woods, a 158-acre area with gentle streams, plenty of quietude, and hummingbirds and red-tailed hawks. Just don’t let the birds snatch your sandwich. we should bring  is your bag. You can't pack for a perfect picnic without the right bag. As much as the classic picnic basket makes for a perfect Insta picture, it really isn’t practical. I prefer to bring my backpack because it's sturdy and can hold more stuff. You don’t have to awkwardly drag a wicker basket along when you're searching for the perfect picnic spot.  Next we should consdier, the blanke. The most important part of this blanket is size. we want the blanket to be large enough to fit all of our friends and food. we might also want to consider something that is thicker, because if the ground is slightly wet, the last thing we want is to feel muddy and gross. next, is the food of course! There are so many different food options we could pack for the perfect picnic. I love when picnics have a variety of small foods like finger sandwiches or fresh fruit. Other options include mason jar salads or chips and fresh salsa. We should Make sure to pack something sweet to finish off your meal, but just make sure it won't melt. My favorite picnic desserts include chocolate chip cookies and fruit tarts.  Nextly, My number one recommendation is to pack a drink that can be resealed. Cans of La Croix or soda have their place in the world, but picnics aren't it. You want something resealable so you don't attract bees or have to worry about spilling on uneven ground. If our drink is cold (or hot) make sure to pack it in a thermos. My drink recommendations include lemonade, or sweet tea. I think We should plan a themed picnic! What do you think?

I can’t wait to see you Amy!

warm regards,

Does the practice of Gerrymandering align with democratic values?
Korolek [52]

Answer: HOPE THIS HELPS!!

Once a decade, every state redraws its electoral districts, determining which people will be represented by each politician. In many states, this means that politicians gather behind computer screens to figure out how they can manipulate the lines to box out their competition and maximize the power of their political party. While an increasing number of states employ independent commissions to draw district lines, the large majority still lack safeguards to prevent partisan favoritism in the redistricting process—also known as partisan gerrymandering.

It has been almost a decade since the 2010 cycle of redistricting, and the country is still reckoning with the impact. Last May, the Center for American Progress published a report that found that unfairly drawn congressional districts shifted, on average, a whopping 59 seats in the U.S. House of Representatives during the 2012, 2014, and 2016 elections. That means that every other November, 59 politicians that would not have been elected based on statewide voter support for their party won anyway because the lines were drawn in their favor—often by their allies in the Republican or Democratic Party.

To help put this number in perspective, a shift of 59 seats is slightly more than the total number of seats apportioned to the 22 smallest states by population. It is also more than the number of representatives for America’s largest state, California, which has 53 House members representing a population of nearly 40 million people.

Which sentences are punctuated correctly? check all that apply..
Whitepunk [10]
Ok so i just found out the right answer. I know im probably really late, but at least any future people will have it! so its b and c because a colon can only correctly be used after a complete sentence and b and c are the only correct uses of a colon. also d couldnt be right because thats a semicolon not a colon and they have different rules for a semicolon.
