A biome is a large area which is occupied by plants and animals which are usually naturally occurring. Among all the biomes, the tundra remains the coldest. The word tundra is derived from a Finnish word "tunturia” meaning treeless plain.

Characteristics of tundra include:

• Very low climate.

• Limited season which supports growth and reproduction.

• Low biodiversity, etc.

Arctic and alpine tundra are the two types of tundra present.

Arctic tundra: It encompasses the north pole in the northern side of the equator. It stretches out towards the south to the coniferous forests of the taiga. The presence of all-time frosted subsoil known as permafrost is the trademark highlight of this tundra.

Alpine tundra: it is available in the mountains of almost the entire world at higher statures which don't reinforce plant development. In contrast to arctic tundra, soil which is found in this tundra is properly drained.

The tundra biome situated within the northern hemisphere is the coldest biome within the world. The common temperature is often as low as -70°F. Latitudes 66.5 degree to poles is the location of this biome.

Whereas, the taiga biome lies within the northern hemisphere covering plenty of part of America and Eurasia, particularly Canada and Russia. As situated south of tundra biome, it also remains cold however not as cold as the tundra biome. it's situated between latitudes of 55 to 66.5 degrees. Thus, tundra biome is characterized by winter all year round however taiga biome has warm and cold climate alternatively.

The tundra biome has the extremely cold climate whereas the tropical forest has warmer climate and the tundra receives very little sunlight whereas the forest receives direct and constant sunlight. Thus, the animals can survive within the extreme cold temperature and sunlight example, arctic fox, snowy owl, caribou, ermine and polar bear inhabit in the tundra biome. whereas, tropical forest animals are those that are adjustable to the conditions within the tropical rainforest example, howler monkeys, sloths, jaguars, parrots, and toucans. There are solely a few plants that grow within the tundra example, arctic moss, arctic willow, bearberry, and pasque flower. The tropical rainforest includes shrubs, vines, the strangler fig etc. are few plants of tropical rainforest.

In exocytosis, large particles (proteins, neurotransmitters, waste material etc.) are surrounded by a phospholipid membrane in a vesicle. However, this membrane is formed in the cytoplasm, and attaches to the plasma membrane’s interior in a process opposite to endocytosis; material is removed from the cell and exported into the cell’s exterior called the extracellular space.
