Answer:

View below explanation.

Explanation:

Dr. Robert jr. was a smart man. Each day as he walked by the loud, squeaky door he clenched his teeth and made a horrible sound that could easily scare off any visitor. Although Sir Robert was very smart he never managed to understand why that door squeaked only when he walked past it. Everytime his beautiful, polished, black shoes walked past that door it would make a loud screech. No other hospital vistor or staff new either, until one very bright but foggy day the answer was finally found.

In “The Lagoon” by Joseph Conrad, how does Arsat’s storytelling differ from the narration of the larger story?
pshichka [43]

ANSWER: A. Arsat's story is told with great passion

In Joseph Conrad's "The Lagoon", we can find a passionate storytelling by Arsat, contrasting the larger story's tone. This passionate tone is evidenced with the attached excerpt, where Arsat said "I shall speak to you of love" followed by a description of an intense whisper and a loud speech. This paints a picture of a passionate narration.

The narrator in "The Cask of Amontillado" is named Montresor. What is Montresor's trade?
Fantom [35]

Answer:

He is a stone mason.

Explanation:

In the short story, "The Cask of Amontillado," the main character Montresor is a mason because he uses bricks and mortar to wall up his enemy alive. Montresor's victim, Fortunato, is a Mason because he identifies himself by gesture and word as member of the Brotherhood of Freemasons:

"He. . .threw the bottle upward with a gesticulation I did not understand.

I looked at him in surprise. He repeated the movement -- a grotesque one.

"You do not comprehend?" he said.

"Not I," I replied.

"Then you are not of the brotherhood."

Montresor, then, pulls out a bricklayer's trowel from under his cloak as proof that he is in fact a "mason."

Have a lovely rest of your day! :)
