A man walks along a straight path at a speed of 4 ft/s. A searchlight is located on the ground 20 ft from the path and is kept f
krek1111 [17]

Answer:

0.128rad/sec

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represent the between the man and the point on the path

θ = the angle

dx/dt = 4 ft/s

dθ/dt = rate is the searchlight rotating when the man is 15 ft from the point on the path closest to the searchlight

tan θ = x/20 ft

Cross Multiply

20tan θ = x

dx/dt = 20sec² θ dθ/dt

dθ/dt = 1/20 × cos² θ dx/dt

dθ/dt= 1/20 × cos² θ × 4

dθ/dt = 1/5 × cos² θ

Note : cos θ = 4/5

dθ/dt = 1/5 × (4/5)²

dθ/dt = 16/125

dθ/dt = 0.128rad/sec

On Venus how can you overcome extreme temperature and microgravity
matrenka [14]
Mercury is very different than Earth.  I think Mercury is a very hot planet, and because of the gravity and other conditions - look these up online - Humans and other life on Earth cannot live on Mercury, much less visit without being fully protected.  Temperature on Mercury 426 degrees Celsius, about 800 degrees fahrenheit - very hot.  You would want your space craft to completely protected from these temperatures, think of some materials you could use, and how thick you would need them?  What material protects from heat?   As far as vacuum conditions, and gravity, you will need to have that included as well.Maybe you would just wear a type of clothing to protect against bumping around in your space craft since you will not have gravity, you will also want to think about food!

stiv31 [10]

Answer:

A. 6.25x + 30 > 9.75x+12

Step-by-step explanation:

This is because we know from the problem that x is the minimum number of t-shirts. We also know Company D charges a 6.25 fee for each tee, while Company E charges a 9.75 fee per tee.  Based on the information we know, we can choose the problem.
