Answer:

a) 18 students per teacher

b) 9 students per tutor

c) 7 tutors

Step-by-step explanation:

An arts academy requires there to be 6 teachers for every 108 students and 5 tutors for every 45 students.

a) How many students does the academy have per teacher?

6 teachers = 108 students

1 teacher = x

Cross Multiply.

6x = 108

x = 108/6

x = 18 students per teacher

b) Per tutor?

5 tutor = 45 students

1 tutor = x

Cross Multiply

5x = 45

x = 45/5

x = 9 students

= 9 students per tutor

c) How many tutors does the academy need if it has 63 students?

45 students = 5 tutors

63 students = x

Cross Multiply

45x = 63 × 5

x = 63 × 5/45

x = 7 tutors

A rectangle has a perimeter of 84 miles and a height of 26 miles .what is the length of the base?
ExtremeBDS [4]

Answer:

16 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

The height is 26 miles. Multiply that by 2 which gets 52 and then subtract that from 84. That gives you 32 which means the sum of the lengths is 32/2 which is 16 miles

IS ANYONE HERE GOOD AT CALCULUS?? IF SO, PLEASEEEE HELP ME!!!! An object’s velocity at time t is given by v(t) = –2 sin t. Let s
Bingel [31]

Answer: C

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we are given velocity, which is the first derivative, we have to fidn the antiderivative of velocity to get position.

∫-2sint dt

s(t)=2cos(t)+C

Since we are given s(0)=0, we can plug in the values to find C, constant.

0=2cos(0)+C

0=2(1)+C

0=2+C

C=-2

Now that we know our constant, we can find out position.

s(t)=2cos(t)-2

Simplify.<br>(picture provided, thank you so much)
oksian1 [2.3K]

-5x^4(-3x^2 + 4x -2)

Multiply the number on the outside by each number inside the parentheses:

-5x^4 x -3x^2 = 15x^6

-5x^4 x 4x = -20x^5

-5x^4 x -2 = 10x^4

Now combine them in order of exponents:

15x^6 - 20x^5 + 10x^4
