The First through Eighth Amendments protect the rights of individuals, from freedom of religion to prohibition of cruel and unusual punishment. The Ninth Amendment secures rights not specifically listed in the Bill of Rights, and the Tenth Amendment reserves to the states all rights not delegated to the United States.

The Taliban came around after the Soviet Afghan war, they took it upon themselves to invade an already broken country and force it to follow Sharia law, which are strict religious codes, these would infringe on the rights of men, women, ethnic minorities. The citizens themselves would benefit from the Taliban being ousted.
