"Ol' Fuss and Feathers" was an ex-war of 1812 General. His first army landed at Vera Crus where they were heavily outnumbered by the Mexicans. Led march to Mexico city and embarrassed the Mexican general in several victories. Eventually, in September of 1847, he captured Mexico City. After every victory, he would stop and attempt to negotiate peace with the Mexicans. Even after the defeat at Mexico City, they refused to negotiate.

The rulers of West Africa negotiated with European rulers to send off their Africans. In exchange, the Europeans gave them silver which boosted the wealth in their economy.
