Indigenous peoples were the native inhabitants of America before the arrival of the European. Native people worshipped their gods and practising rituals to keep their god satisfy. They were associated with nature where they respected and considered it as a sacred. The Native Indians define nature as spiritual and holy because it brought lives.
With the arrival of European, the conversion began to take place. Native people were converted into Christian by missions in Spanish colonies. The change in different religion had turned their way of worshipping to separate faith.
Midwestern farmers traveling to Southwest America would be entering into Mexico (before the Mexican-American War), which included present-day Texas stretching to present-day California.
