Despite failing to seize power, Hitler became popular in Germany.

Explanation:

In 1923, Hitler attempted to seize power in the state of Bavaria which called the Munich Putsch. The Putsch failed, but, ironically, Hitler's prestige increased. As he was put on trial, he used the opportunity to criticise the Treaty of Versailles and the Republic of Weimar. His philosophical views were on racial nationalism.  He earned a reputation in the nation for his views and gained the support of the public which later assisted him in winning in election and size control in Germany as a Chancellor and later as dictator.
