1. Nicky Flynn parents just got a divorce and he gonna start a new life, in a new city. Then, his mother brought home a 80 pound dog. Soon enough the dog and Nicky become best friends. But when Nicky tries to reconnect when his dad, things get harder. He soon realizes that he gonna put everything on the line...........including his new dog friend....

2. The main characters are Nicky, his new dog, and his parents appear in the story as well but not as much as Nicky's dog (Reggie).

3. Nicky first faces his parents divorce, getting used to a new friend (a dog), and when he connects with his dad things goes downhill all over again. But luckily Nicky is able to solve it.
