Answer:

C. She decided on the spur of the moment to challenge the status quo

Explanation:

Rosa decided to challenge the status quo at the spur of the moment. In montgomery alabama, Rosa Parks refused a bus drivers order to vacate her seat in the colored section for a white passenger. Due to her refusal, the bus driver got her arrested.

The existing status quo was a law that supported segregation. She was expected to give up her seat because of her skin color.

In her autobiography, she noted that the reason she did not give up her seat was not due to tiredness. She said she was only tired of giving in. By this statement, she was only tired of giving in to laws that did not favor her black race. She was tired of the segregation.

What is the effect of the choice of frozen landscapes such as the North Pole and the Swiss Alps as settings in Frankenstein?
Bess [88]

I believe the correct answer is: It reminds readers of the loneliness and absolute desolation of the characters.

The novel “Frankenstein” (also known as “The Modern Prometheus”), written by English author Mary Shelley, may serve as an accurate example of (Dark) Romanticism, and therefore displays the most common characteristics. One of this characteristics is the nature mirroring the internal state of characters, which is why the choice of frozen landscapes such as the North Pole and the Swiss Alps as settings in Frankenstein have an effect that reminds people of the loneliness and absolute desolation of characters.

While reading the novel, you’ll notice that Victor always goes to cold and desolated places when he feels troubled and lonely. It is also a place where he isolates himself from his friends and family to prevent them from becoming the victims of his creation. This is the state in which he feels most desolated and according to that, the nature he surrounds himself with mirrors that.

What are some hyperboles in I Wandered As Lonley As a Cloud?
kogti [31]

Hello!! A couple of hyperbole in "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud" would be "They stretched in never-ending line," because it couldn't really be an never-ending line of flowers. Another one would be "Ten thousand I saw in a glance," because he's saying there's a lot of flowers, but not necessarily 10,000. Lastly, another one would be "Out-did the sparkling waves in glee," he is saying that there was more beauty to the flowers than to the ocean, but the flowers could not out-do the ocean. I hope this helped!! Have a great day. :)
