Why do societies need art and creativity to survive?
because....
Art stimulates the human intellect and aids in the understanding of the world. It has the ability to stabilize and steer a civilization. It can aid in the formation of a sense of self-identity. People can express themselves, ask questions, address issues, preserve history, and record events as they happen through art in all of its forms. It enables people to envision a different future, explore a different cosmos, and create new realities. Art has the power to inspire people on a large scale and to bring them together in harmony. Creativity enables civilizations to adapt to change and accept the fact that things and ideas can change over time. This suggests that art is essential for the ability to adapt to change, which is essential for societies that must adjust swiftly in order to live and prosper.
Because art is a symbol or status of living. rural cultures out in the middle of nowhere fighting to survive don't have time or resource to create something. but rich countries or cultures with money to blow have no problem spending on something cool they can create. plus it shows the world a bit of that countries style and flavor
It is DEFINITELY up to us, the consumer.
People just have accept our motifs, which are usually our character brought out by just what WE wanna look at every morning when we get up, ya know?
