Vladimir Lenin was a Russian revolutionary, politician and political theorist. He was the architect, builder and first head of the Soviet Union.He was also the founder of the Russian Communist Party, leader of the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution.

His political beliefs are now known as Leninism and it is a political ideology that suggests the establishment of the dictatorship of the proletariat (members of a society whose possession of economic value is their labour power) led by a revolutionary vanguard party, as the political prelude to the establishment of communism.
