Ponyboy Curtis is 14-years-old and his world has been turned upside down. His parents were killed in an automobile accident.

He lives with his oldest brother, Darry, who is 20 years old and has legal custody of him and his other brother, Sodapop, who is 16.

Darry is really harsh on him ever since the passing of his parents but sodapop is like his best friend he is always protecting ponyboy.

Ponyboy is the youngest of the greaser gang.

Ponyboy has brown hair and greenish-gray eyes. He has a good build for his size and is a fast runner.  Ponyboy's hair is long and dark, but in Windrixville, he bleaches it to change his identity so the cops don't recognize him, and then it is cut short and bleached blond.
