Given :

▪︎line ʟ || ᴍ .

▪︎Measure of an angle = (12x - 8)°

▪︎Measure of another angle = 104°

Since angle (12x-8)° and angle 104° are interior angles on the same side of transversal, their measures will be supplementary(=180°).

Which means :

= \tt12x - 8 + 104 = 180

= \tt12x - 8 = 180 - 104

=\tt 12x = 76 + 8

= \tt12x = 84

=\tt x =  \frac{84}{12}

\hookrightarrow\tt\color{plum} \:\bold{ x = 7 }

Thus, the value of x = 7.

Let us check whether or not we have found out the correct value of x, by placing 7 in the place of x :

= \tt12 \times 7 - 8 + 104 = 180

=\tt 84  - 8 + 104 = 180

= \tt76 + 104 = 180

=\tt 180  = 180

Since the Left Hand Side of the equation is equivalent to the Right Hand Side of the equation we can conclude that we have found out the correct value of x.

<h2>○=> Therefore :</h2>

▪︎Angle (12x - 8)° and angle 104° are interior angles on the same side of transversal.

▪︎Value of x = 7

A rectangle has a perimeter of 18 inches. a new rectangle is formed by doubling the with W in tripling the length L as shown the
vladimir1956 [14]

a) The dimensions of original rectangle are length= 5 and width= 4.

b) The dimensions of new rectangle are length= 15 and width=8.

<u>Step-by-step explanation</u>:

  • length of a rectangle = l
  • width of a rectangle = w
  • Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(l+w)

<u>Original rectangle</u> :

18 = 2(l+w)

18 = 2l + 2w ---------(1)

<u>New rectangle</u> :

46 = 2(3l+2w)

46 = 6l + 4w ---------(2)

<u>Solving the equations</u> :

Multiply (1) by 2 and subtract (2) from (1)

 4l + 4w = 36

-(<u>6l + 4w = 46</u>)

 <u>-2l        = -10</u>

l = 10/2

length = 5 inches.

Substitute l=5 in (1)

18 = 2(5)+2w

18 = 10+2w

2w = 8

w = 8/2

width = 4 inches.

length of new rectangle = 3(l) = 3\times5 = 15 inches.

width of new rectangle = 2(w) = 2\times4 = 8 inches.

If an object is shot with an initial velocity of 160 ft/sec, what is the smallest initial angle will you need to obtain a horizo
MrRissso [65]
To solve the question we shall use the formula for the range given by:
Horizontal range, R=[v²sin 2θ]/g
plugging in our values we get:
500=[160²×sin 2θ]/10
5000=160²×sin 2θ
0.1953=sin 2θ
thus:
arcsin 0.1953=2θ
11.263=2θ
hence:
θ=5.6315°~5.63

olya-2409 [2.1K]

Answer:

y=15

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the triangles are similar you take 22/33 and 10/y then cross multiply and get 330=22y now divide 330 by 22 and you get 15
