In the Shakespeare play Romeo and Juliet, why did Romeo place Paris inside the Capulet's tomb if he isn't a Capulet?
zaharov [31]

Answer:

To Fulfill the Wishes of Paris

Explanation:

In the Churchyard, Paris, who was hiding, saw Romeo lurking near the Capulet's tomb. Paris believed Romeo had killed both Juliet and Tybalt. Paris thought that since Romeo was exiled from the city on penalty of death, he had come to the Capulet's tomb to dishonour to the corpse of either Tybalt or Juliet. In a fit of sudden anger, Paris confronted Romeo. who pleaded with him to leave, but Paris refused. In the fight, Romeo killed Paris. The dying Paris requested Romeo to be laid near Juliet in the tomb. Romeo consented.

Myths often function as a connection to the
Alja [10]

Answer:

Myths often function as a connection to culture, or the customs and beliefs of a group of people. Myths in a way are what makes a certain nation's culture - everything we know today originated from myths, beliefs, and legends. Myths were told in order to for people to explain what was happening around them - things they could not understand. ~~~Hope this helps~~

Insert appropriate form of the verb at this very moment , the international space station _____ ( orbit ) Earth at distance of 2
Minchanka [31]

Answer:

At this very moment, the International Space Station orbits Earth at a distance of 240 miles.

Explanation:

We use the simple present tense when we talk about actions that happen often, habitual actions, or truths that usually do not change or that take some time to change. For example: I sleep at 10 in the evening. / Dogs bark and birds fly. / Dora lives in Spain.

Therefore, since the orbit of the International Space Station is a truth that will most likely take long to change, it seems best to use the simple present to complete the sentence. Since the subject is third-person singular, we must add -s to the verb:

- At this very moment, the International Space Station orbits Earth at a distance of 240 miles.

Note: Another possibility would be the use of the present continuous: "is orbiting". However, that makes it seem this is just a temporary action that will, at any moment, change.

Which genre uses techniques such as figurative language to explore
Anna007 [38]
Figurative language is most common in poetry, but poetry does not always explore thought in a concise way, more often it tried to convey a feeling or an impression than treats the subject in detail.

Therefore I would choose a "novel" - it can use figurative language (unlike exploratory essay), but it also deals with ideas and thought is a profound, comprehensive way (but note that some poems will also do that!)
