The war led to emergence of U.S. predominance in the Caribbean region, and resulted in U.S. acquisition of Spain's Pacific possessions. That led to U.S. involvement in the Philippine Revolution and ultimately in the Philippine–American War. The main issue was Cuban independence.
The reason of why this is happening is because since the fall of the Soviet Union socialism has proved not to be effective as an economic-political system. On the other hand, free market policies have led the countries that carry them out to improve their economies and stabilize their societies. Examples of countries destroyed and indebted by war, such as Japan or Germany, have gone ahead thanks to policies of international cooperation and free trade. Taking notice of this, the countries of the communist sphere have begun to develop free-market policies, in pursuit of achieving the development they observe in their neighboring countries.
I had to look for the options and here is my answer:
Most scientists conclude that it is the increasing global temperature that leads to the increasing levels of carbon dioxide in the Earth's atmosphere. This may be due to the different chemicals that are being emitted in the air. Hope this helps.
The Enlighment movement emerged in Europe during the 18th century and it was constituted by philosophers that promoted Reason and the scientific method over medieval superstition and religious dogmas, and the establishment of democratic societies where the power resided on its people, and not in monarchs or rulers "appointed by God". The resulting states that emerged based on the principles of this movement, enacted bills of civil rights for the first time in history, and implemented principles such as the division of powers or the social contract, through which citizens elected their governors by suffrage.
Such Enlightment principles were transferred to the American colonies, where the population claimed for political representation rather than being governed by foreigners that were appointed by a foreign king. Such claims were ignored and the colonies, influenced by the new democratic principles, started several revolutionary movements for independence aiming to establish new states based on the Enlightment principles such as in Europe.
The government's idea was probably that they'd fit in better, and have an easier time living amongst us and finding work if they adopted our customs, language, and all of that good stuff.
The bad effects this could have on kids, they really don't understand why they'd be forced to adopt these new ways. Mom and Dad have always taught them to do this, but the government is telling them to do that now. They might feel like outcasts, or like their ways aren't welcomed.
