At first, Bilbo, who felt like an outcast among the dwarves, doubted his worth in the beginning of the journey. However, by defeating the spiders and earning respect he so craved among the dwarves, he finally felt like he was able to make a difference in the journey. They commit acts of terrorism believing that killing themselves and you that they are going to heaven.
