Several roles where given to woman such as nurses, munitions factory workers, sewing bandages, and selling war bonds, shipyards and spies.

Explanation:

Basically woman did jobs that supported and keep the war alive for there side meaning they helped in keeping wounded soldiers alive collected information that may give them an advantage in war and even did some of the work themselves such as working on some of the planes.
