Answer:

they do orbit the sun but they are farther away, they are very small, the dwarf planet Pluto is around the size of a moon, and I wouldn't say they have a clear  path because dwarf planets don't normally have a clear path... they are normally around or are inside the outer asteroid belt of a solar system

They orbit the sun but planets have to be a certain size to be considered planets. So an example is that Pluto does orbit the sun and has years and days but it wasn’t big enough to be considered a planet.
