In Functions and Function Notation, we were introduced to the concepts of domain and range. In this section, we will practice determining domains and ranges for specific functions. Keep in mind that, in determining domains and ranges, we need to consider what is physically possible or meaningful in real-world examples, such as tickets sales and year in the horror movie example above. We also need to consider what is mathematically permitted. For example, we cannot include any input value that leads us to take an even root of a negative number if the domain and range consist of real numbers. Or in a function expressed as a formula, we cannot include any input value in the domain that would lead us to divide by 0.

This is geometry.. If lines l and M are parallel than we look at the line that goes from bottom left to the top right. this is called the transversal. When lines are parallel then alternate interior angles are congruent. That means opposite sides of the transversal and inside the parallel lines. That means 28 and  are congruent.

Your answer is 28..  I hope I helped you learn something..

Honestly I can’t remember the last time I had to deal with arcs in school, but the answer to the second one is 63 because all triangles add up to 180 degrees and 46+71= 117. 180-117=63

How would you use the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus to determine the value(s) of b if the area under the graph g(x)=4x between
-BARSIC- [3]
The Fundamental Theorem of Calculus regarding geometry states that
\int\limits^b_a g{(x)} \, dx = F(b)-F(a)

Where F is the indefinite integral of g(x)

The first step is to integrate g(x)
\int\ {4x} \, dx = \frac{4x^{1+1} }{1+1} = \frac{4x^{2} }{2} =2 x^{2}

Then substitute the value of b and a=1 into 2x^{2}

[2 (b)^{2}]-[2 (1)^{2}] = 240
2b^{2} -2=240
2b^{2}=240+2
2b^{2}=242
b^{2}= \frac{242}{2}
b^{2}=121
b=11

Hence the limit of the area under g(x) is between a=1 and b=11

According to the synthetic division below, which of the following statements are true? Check all that apply. -5(2 6 -8) -10 20 _
Sunny_sXe [5.5K]
***(2x²+6x-8):(x+5)=2x-4
     -2x²-10x
    ⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻
         -4x-8
          4x+20
    ⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻
              12 ⇒ A. statement is true.

***When x=-5⇒2*(-5)²+6*(-5)-8=12⇒B. statement is true.

***2x²+6x-8 can also be written as (x+5)*(2x-4)+12 so (x+5) is a factor of 2x²+6x-8⇒C. statement is true.

***When x=5⇒2*5²+6*5-8=72 is not 12⇒D. statement is not true
