Recall that organic compounds are those that have carbon atoms bonded to hydrogen (most prevalent linkage), oxygen, and nitrogen atoms. Glucose, as evident by its molecular formula, consists of carbon atoms bonded to hydrogen atoms and oxygen atoms. Therefore, it is in fact an organic compound.
