You decide to attempt providing supplementary pancreatic enzymes to the patient.

Explanation:

Pancreas is an important organ in the digestive system. Pancreas secretes enzymes that facilitate digestion. The enzymes secreted are trypsin, lipase, pancreatic Amylase etc.

When pancreas fails to produce these enzymes digestion process doesn’t take place effectively. This condition is called pancreatic insufficiency. Pancreatic insufficiency is common in patients with pancreatic cancer, stomach ulcer, celiac disease etc.

In the cases of such patients doctors prescribe the use of supplementary pancreatic enzymes. This will help improve digestion.
