During the games you see The friendship of Peeta and Katniss evolve and she starts to be more vulnerable and they start to have a friendship while still fooling the capital and sharing a few kisses. Katniss is an independent person, she hunts and gets food for her family, takes care of her mother and sister because after her dad died her mother fell into a deep depression.
