The song expresses the struggles of the people in 1950s. They were discriminated on the basis of their cast and religion. There was strong racism and the people were not provided with even basic necessities. The lower race people were forced to work hard and they were no provided houses in the developed areas. They were forced to live in small tent like house which was not strong enough to tolerate rainfall and storms.
The way which Hebrews worship one God, Yahweh shows the
value of Monotheism. Monotheism is the belief and worship to only one God.
Judaism is the oldest religion in the world that values Monotheism. The Hebrew bible
shows the people of Israel lamented.
