1. Slavery started in the colonies to produce cash crops like tobacco and cotton.

2. Slave where brought into the colonies via the slave trade triangle.

3. New England: Fishing and boat work, later on in time they would in the factories. Middle: Farming mainly. South: All farming, most products where cotton and tobacco.

4. The jobs where different because of the environment. It is impossible to farm in New England because of the soil. South climate was great for cotton and tobacco.

5. They where important because the slave where the backbone of the economy, take them away and it would take forever to find enough workers to make the same amount of money.

6. Hunger, harsh working conditions, no education, and no family.
