Oranges are a type of fruit that have a citrusy and sweet flavor. Oranges originated in a region encompassing Southern China, Northeast India, and Myanmar, and the earliest mention of the sweet orange was in Chinese literature in 314 BC. Orange trees are widely grown in tropical and subtropical climates for their sweet fruit. The fruit of the orange tree can be eaten fresh, or processed for its juice or fragrant peel. As of 2012, sweet oranges accounted for approximately 70% of citrus production. In 2017, 73 million tonnes of oranges were grown worldwide, with Brazil producing 24% of the world total, followed by China and India.

Also, did you know that it’s thought that the reason oranges have long been associated with fertility is because the lush evergreen tree can simultaneously produce flowers, fruit and foliage.

Compound sentence with words sharecropper and windswept
Flura [38]
First of all, you need to know what a compound sentence is. It is a sentence which contains at least two independent clauses. Having that in mind, here is an example of such a sentence containing words sharecropper and windswept:
The sharecropper worked in the windswept fields the entire day and then went home to eat some food.
There are two independent clauses here: 1. the sharecropper worked in the windswept fields + and + 2. then (he) went home to eat some food.
