Alright people I am confusion. I'm learning about genetics right now in AP Bio and something has caught my attention. Me, my bio

logical brother and parents.
(38 y.o) My father is 5,11, fair skin, basic hazel eyes, used to have freckles, and light brown hair.
(36 y.o) My mother is 5,0, pale skin, brown eyes, freckles, and black hair.

Then there's me...

Thing is I know I'm my mother's son but like... she was cheating on my father the whole time they were married... help

A cell has 36 chromosomes. After it divides by mitosis, how many chromosomes will be in each cell?
butalik [34]

Answer:

36 chromosomes in each cell

Explanation:

Mitosis is an equational division which means that it does not reduce or change the number of chromosomes in the daughter cells. Mitosis in a single parent cell produces two daughter cells each having the same DNA content and the number of chromosomes is present in the parent cell. Each chromosome after the S phase has two sister chromatids that separate from each other and are segregated to the opposite poles of the cell during anaphase of mitosis. Therefore, a cell with 36 chromosomes will form two daughter cells after one round of mitosis. Each daughter cell would have 36 chromosomes.

Which trait is likely to be inherited in a complete way
emmainna [20.7K]
Any trait which has a completely genetic basis with no environmental factors playing any role are traits that are inherited in a completely environmental fashion. There are some traits which are purely genetic and are therefore also determined only through genes. However, the majority of (phenotypical) traits are inherited and determined both by genes and environment.

Name two effects unbalanced forces can have on an object. Provide an example of each effect.
stealth61 [152]

The two kinds of unbalanced forces are:

  • Net Force: Is the vector sum of all forces acting (pushing or pulling) on an object.
  • Resultant Force: is a force that alone produces the same acceleration as all those forces.

To effects that unbalanced forces have on objects are:

  • Can make an object move or stop.
  • Can speed up or slow down an object.

Here are some examples:

  • When falling out of a plane when sky diving, this is making you move faster. Then when you are using a parachute, you are slowing down.
  • A man uses force to roll down an object from the top of a hill.
