What is the difference between fail of failure and an excellent mistake?
anzhelika [568]

Answer:

“A failure is a project that doesn’t work, an initiative that teaches you something at the same time the outcome doesn’t move you directly closer to your goal.

A mistake is either a failure repeated, doing something for the second time when you should have known better, or a misguided attempt (because of carelessness, selfishness or hubris) that hindsight reminds you is worth avoiding.

blsea [12.9K]
The correct option is D.
The Mexico city was built on the ruins of an old lake. The lake was drained in order to provide the needed land for the city and water has to be regularly pump out of the underground aquifers in order to prevent flooding and also to provide drinking water for the city. This affected the supporting soil structure and result in the sinking of the city. The city has sunk by about 30 feet in the last 100 years and this has caused a lot of damages which are quite expensive to repair.

Colons are not used to introduce __________. lists omissions appostives long quotations
Alecsey [184]
Colons are not used to introduce lists.

Colons denote "that is to say" or "here's what I mean."

They make sentences’ first parts not important rather the sentence’s second part contains the important information.

Here are some of the rules you could use for colons:

*Colons are uses upon introducing items.
*Do not use capital letters after a colon except if it’s a proper noun.
*Do not use colons after a verb or preposition.
*For independent clauses, especially when the second sentence explains the paragraph’s meaning, the use of colon is preferred.
*After a colon: capitalize the first letter of the first word if it is a complete quotation.
