Why does meiosis produce cells with fewer chromosomes?
Mandarinka [93]

Let me explain something that can make you easily understand ok?

So as you know, humans has 46 chromosomes right?

Also, you know that when a gamete is formed there are 2 cell infused to form that 46 chromosomes. (The human cell and sperm)

IF the cells has 46 chromosomes each and it infused with another 46 chromosomes then the total will be 92 chromosomes and not 46 chromosomes. That's why the cell produced only has 23 chromosomes which is fewer so that when it form a genetic material, the total chromosomes will be 46 chromosomes.

Sorry if my english sucks, hope you understand REEEEE

Why are studies of identical twins important in helping understand interactions between environment and genotype?
anyanavicka [17]
Since hereditarily they ought to be indistinguishable so any contrasts between them will be caused by their condition. Since indistinguishable twins create from a solitary prepared egg, they have a similar genome. So any contrasts between twins are because of their surroundings, not hereditary qualities. Late examinations have demonstrated that numerous naturally actuated contrasts are reflected in the epigenome.
