The main utility of the office of war information is to gather all information about the war and provide a one line communication about the entire war to the public. The office of war information was first created in Jun 13th, 1942.
The main purpose of them is to encourage the people to participate in war by distributing posters, booklets, photographs. They also hosted radio shows and released films to boost patriotism among people. Thus they mainly aimed to keep people aware of the war by providing them update about the war.
