The declaration was not embraced by all Americans when it was written.
Charra [1.4K]

The following are the probable arguments people might have had against Seneca Falls Declaration:

  • No words to express how astonishing and offensive this is! how could one conceive women deserve these exclusive privileges! It is not right, it would require a radical remodeling of our society to accommodate itself for the eventual changes.
  • Women was created by God to marry and serve men, live under his shelter... needless to say that the convention is an open door to demolish the very principles our society are build upon.

Though unemployment during the Great Depression was widespread, it was higher in some parts of the United States than in others.
rewona [7]

A cultural historian would get, by interviewing unemployed people during the Great Depression, B. The names of specific people who were unemployed and D. Stories about the experience of being unemployed.

This is because such historian would be doing microhistory, gathering information and stories about people directly from the source, while the economic historian would be doing macro-history, not paying attention to individuals.

Why did the great compromise and the three fifths compromise involve so much debate and discussion at the constitutional convent
myrzilka [38]

A meeting that was held in Philadelphia made fifty delegates to meet together and decide to replace or modify the articles of federation which was considered to be weak and ineffective.

Articles of confederation placed undue powers to the states, it was empowered to impose taxes and execute laws which made the central Government to be ineffective. The states were apprehended regarding the replacement of Articles of federation.

The Great compromise led to the equal representation of all states in the congress. It was decided that the lower chamber (House of Representatives) be formed based on the representatives sent from the states with larger populace and the senate be formed by the representatives sent from the smaller states.

Now the debate revolved around the topic of slave representation that were not considered as subjects and not given the rights to enfranchise, so the great compromise concluded that three of five slaves would be counted as a subject in order to draw the estimate of population.
