if f(x) = 4 – x2 and g(x) = 6x, which expression is equivalent to (g – f)(3)? a: 6 – 3 – (4 3)2 b: 6 – 3 – (4 – 32) c: 6(3) – 4
jolli1 [7]
F(x) = 4 - x^2
g(x) = 6x
(g - f)(x) = 6x - (4 - x^2)
(g - f)(3) = 6(3) - (4 - 3^2) = 6(3) - 4 + 3^2

drek231 [11]
3/4 of an hour is 45 minutes. Multiply 45 by 4. You get 180 minutes. Divide by 60 and Mr. Robinson gives his students a total of 3 hours of homework over the course of 4 days.

A person’s retirement account of $30,000 earns 4% each year. Which value would represent the base of the exponential function th
vivado [14]
Well, your probably gonna not go with 30,000 because it stands out like a sore thumb. and 4% is = to .04 So that would be my likely guestimation. 1.04 is probably the answer. in high school you would do 30,000(1+.04/1
)^1*1

and if you were to simplify
30,000(1+.04)
or
30,000(1.04)
So i would say 1.04 is the answer

The speed that a tsunami can travel is modeled by the equation s = 356 StartRoot d EndRoot , where S is the speed in kilometers
zalisa [80]

Answer:

0.32km

Step-by-step explanation:

The speed that a tsunami can travel is modeled by the equation s = 356 StartRoot d EndRoot , where S is the speed in kilometers per hour and d is the average depth of the water in kilometers.

This is written mathematically as:

S = 356√d

What is the approximate depth of water for a tsunami traveling at 200 kilometers per hour?

S = 200km/hr

Hence:

200km/hr = 356√d

Divide both sides by 356

200/356 = 356√d/356

√d = 200/356

Square both sides

(√d)² = (200/356)²

d =(0.5617977528)²

d = 0.3156167151km

Approximately = 0.32km
