It’s wholesome but challenging, comes out good in the end. Animals often fight over who get the mate. So I also think its challenging.
ANSWER: Lyonel Feininger used layered geometric tone and color to create the illusion. The painting was made grey and fuzzy which was in contrast with the other rich colors in the background. The church was also painted a little smaller than other objects which gave an illusion of depth.
