Answer:

B). Subj- Taking my dog for a walk; FV- is

Explanation:

The subject is defined as the 'word or word group(noun or noun phrase) that is dealt with in a sentence.' While the finite verbs are characterized as the verbs that reflect the agreement with the subject and marks the tense/time in the sentence. Thus, 'taking my dog for a walk' is the subject of the given sentence as it being dealt with in this sentence, and 'is' is the finite verb as it shows the agreement with the given subject and reflects the present tense. Hence, option B is the correct answer.

What is an effect of Alfonso’s untangling Frankie from the fence in “Broken Chain”?
lidiya [134]
Because Alfonso untangles Frankie from the fence, Alfonso meets Frankie's sister, Sandra (who he eventually goes on a date with). If Alfonso hadn't stopped his bike to help Frankie and Sandra, there would have been no premise for this story. So, this action drives the rest of the plot forward.

Part B. Write a story about a teacher that can read minds
lys-0071 [83]

Answer:

Only five points but fun.

Explanation:

Ms. Scorcher is a raging lunatic. She always knows what you're thinking, and she's always in your head.

I know this because I am her.

I am a lunatic because that is what my students think of me. Though i could change what they think in an instant, I decide to leave them with their own thoughts. It would be cruel to take their ability to have their own thoughts. Though my students are disrespectful to me in their heads, I can gratefully say that they are very polite and well mannered externally.

It's hard being able to read thoughts because I cant control what I hear. So every time a student goes for an incorrect answer, i am helpless because I cannot give it to them. All I can do is better explain what they do not understand. I cannot control my anger when I get angry, so I assume that's why they call me a raging lunatic.

I think I'm an honest fair teacher. don't you?
