Explanation:

Alexander Graham Bell was a scientists that made one very important invention. This invention was the telephone, which he also patented. The telephone made him very famous immediately. It enabled the people to be able to communicate with each other over long distances, without even seeing each other, and the communication was with very small delay, almost at real time. This made the lives of the people much easier, especially the ones that lived at places that were far away from their families, loved ones, their friends. By being able to communicate on regular basis without any problem, the people felt much better, as they knew what was going on, and were not isolated from the people they loved and appreciated.

Alexander Graham Bell contributed to the industrial growth in the US by patented the telephone. He invented the telephone in the year 1876.

EXPLANATION

Alexander Graham Bell was born at Edinburgh, Scotland on March 3, 1847. He was an American inventor and scientist. He was also a teacher for deaf people. One of his greatest accomplishment was inventing the telephone in 1876. Other than that, he also refined the phonograph in 1886.

Bell’s family background affected his career choices. His mother was deaf and his father was a teacher for the deaf. He followed his father’s path to be a teacher for the deaf. Bell left school without graduating at the age of 15. After that, he enrolled at University College London but didn’t finish the study at the end because his family was moving to Canada after his brother’s death.

Bell fell in love with his student, Mabel Hubbard. She was deaf since she was 5 because of fever. Although they had 10 years age gap, they eventually got married and had 4 children.

Bell patented his method to transmit sounds on February 14, 1876. A few hours after Bell patented, Gray filed a patent on an almost identical method. Bell was awarded as one of the most precious patents on March 7, 1876. Both Bell and Gray developed their telephone designs individually. Therefore it was made into the telephone that we use today on a daily basis. There were still a lot of people questioning between the priority of telephone invention between Bell and Gray.

How did Americans disagree over the role of federal and state governments before and during the civil war ?
MAXImum [283]
From what I can remember, states' rights was a large factor contributing to the Civil War. With Lincoln becoming president and representing the North, the Southern states seceded, leading to a war. The state governments of the South argued that since the Constitution and the federal government was created by the states, the federal government had no right to stop states from seceding. President Lincoln and other northerners disagreed and wanted to preserve the Union by stopping states from seceding.
After the war, I believe the South still disagreed on a strong federal government. They wanted to rule the area by themselves.
