For a while, Elie considers God to be evil because he won't help his own people; the Jewish faith believes that they are God's chosen people. I am sorry if it is wrong

Elie begins to lose faith in God in the start of his journey. he believes that evil triumphs God in this scenario because “why would God let his people down?” He soon learns to believe that keeping faith in God is the only way to keep going and survive.
