Which sentence uses formal, subjective language? I strongly disagree with the artist’s decision to use black-and-white photograp
inna [77]

Answer:

"<u>I strongly disagree</u> with the artist's decision to use black-and-white photography to document the fire"

This sentence is subjective in as much as the author states his/her personal opinion about the way the photographer is working. We can see this by the use of the personal pronoun "I". Moreover, his own opinion is formally expressed by the use of these words "strongly disagree".

Besides, this expression "strongly disagree" is much more formal than "I think that". In formal writing, contractions are not usually allowed, but the possessive "s" can be an exception.

The last two sentences are more formal but they are not subjective because there is no reference to whom is giving his/her opinion. In other words, the sentence presents an objective and impersonal fact.

When Peter volunteers to go down the stairs after Mr. Frank, Mr. Van Daan responds, "Haven't you done enough?" Type one ADJECTIV
Andrews [41]

Answer:

The statement made Peter angry while Mr. Van Daan seemed rude.

Explanation:

In <em>The Diary of A Young Girl</em>, Anne Frank details the days in hiding that she and her family along with the Van Daans had to be under. The diary became one of the most important sources of witness account of how the Jews were treated during the Holocaust under the regime of Hitler and the Nazis in Germany.

While the whole residents of the Secret Annex were having a rather grand yet simple celebration of Hanukkah, they heard a crash below which paralyzes them, for they think that they had been discovered. In their eagerness to be silent, Peter slipped his footing and made the iron lampshade crash so loud that they could hear running footsteps downstairs. So, when he volunteered to go along with Mr. Frank down the stairs, he was stopped by his father, retorting <em>"Haven't you done enough?"</em>.

This statement made <em>Peter </em><u><em>angry</em></u>, while <em>Mr. Van Daan</em> seems <em><u>rude</u></em>.
