I can't see it quite as clearly, but the equation is y=1/2x+5. The 5 is the y-int, which means it'll start at 5 and the slope is 1/2 so it'll go up once and to the right twice. y=1/2x+5 is the most likely choice since the other two choices don't match up with the graph given.

Part 2. Which of the following descriptions represent the transformation shown in the image
Over [174]

Answer:

  a.  rotation; then reflection across x

Step-by-step explanation:

The transformation shown is a reflection across the y-axis.

The first part of each answer choice is a rotation 180°. That rotation is fully equivalent to reflection across both the x- and y-axes, in either order. In order to have a net effect of reflection across the y-axis, the reflection across the x-axis must be cancelled--by another reflection across the x-axis.

The reflection across y shown is equivalent to ...

  rotation 180° followed by reflection across the x-axis.

Alex invests $2,000 in a company's stock. After a year, the value of Alex's stock has increased to $2,500. What rate of return h
Kay [80]

The rate of interest is 25%

<u>Explanation:</u>

Given:

Principal, P = $2,000

Amount, A = $2500

Time, t = 1 year

Rate of Interest, r = ?

We know:

Amount = P(1+\frac{r}{100})^t

On substituting the value we get:

2500 = 2000 (1 + \frac{r}{100})^1\\ \\\frac{25}{20}= (1+\frac{r}{100})\\

\frac{5}{20} = \frac{r}{100}\\  \\r = \frac{100 X 5}{20} \\\\r = 25

Therefore, the rate of interest is 25%
