The reason why the women are picking flowers in the poem "Prothalamion
" by Edmund Spenser is that they are getting married. Weddings are joyous occasions, and so the brides are happily choosing flowers for their bouquets. This is a simple and small moment of celebration as they choose flowers to adorn one of the most important days of their lives. Therefore, I believe letter A is the best option.
