Britain and France intervened in the situation as they were having a pact with the Czechoslovakian government. The announcement of Hitler that it would be his last territorial claim in Europe and to avoid war at any cost, France and Britain signed the Munich Agreement on 30 September 1938, with Germany and Italy to allow the annexation of Sudetenland by the German Forces.
