Justinian is considered to be the last Roman Emperor to speak Latin as a first language. What does this fact imply about the cha
murzikaleks [220]

The implication of Justinian being the last emperor to speak Latin was that C. The Eastern Empire had been influenced by the linguistic changes taking place in "barbarian" lands.

What happened when Justinian was emperor?

Justinian took over control of the Eastern Roman empire at a time when the Western Empire was no more.

Barbarians had overrun the western empire and started speaking their own languages. As a result, Latin was no longer very popular and so the Eastern Romans switched to Greek.

Winston Churchill won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1953 for his lifetime body of work.

Churchill’s mother Lady Randolph (Jennie Jerome) was an American born in Brooklyn, which of course made Winston half American.

While serving a dual role as a war correspondent and military officer in South Africa, Churchill was taken captive by the Boers. He was able to scale a wall and sneak out one night. After hiding in a mineshaft and sneaking aboard a train, he was able to rejoin the fight after a week.

He was also accident prone and still managed to make it to 90 years old!
As a child, Churchill suffered from concussions and ruptured kidney while playing on a bridge. Once, he nearly drown in a Swiss lake (yikes!). He fell from multiple horses (done that). Dislocated his shoulder (painful!) disembarking from a ship in India. Crashed a plane while learning to fly (if he was alive i wouldnt want him piloting any plane im on). Was hit by a car while crossing 5th Avenue in New York (again, painful!)
What an adventure!

Churchill suffered from depression all his life, but his mental health deteriorated markedly in his final years. It didn't help that one daughter was suicidal while another was a drunkard. His physical health also continued to decline, and he suffered a series of strokes.

This is a question given with Jennings Bryan’s “Cross of Gold” speech.
marysya [2.9K]

Answer:

1. Jefferson supported bimetallism (ethos appeal)

2. It benefited small town farmers who took out loans to pay for their homes and farms.

3. Money is relative. If we say something has value, it does. Gold is only seen as valuable because it always has.

4. International Bimetallism is already practiced.

Explanation:

This powerful speech secured Bryan's seat as a presidential candidate and an advocate for the Populist's party in the upcoming election. He uses rhetoric to push beyond people's tradition and embrace bimetallism in this speech, something which was later achieved.
