In Plessy v. Ferguson, Homer Plessy claimed that "separate but equal" violated his rights under the
olga2289 [7]

Answer:

14th Amendment

Explanation:

In reality, he argued that it violated both the 13th and 14th Amendment, but the big question in the Supreme Court's mind was "Did it violate the 14th Amendment". If it's wrong, you can argue with your teacher that it was a 7-1 decision that it did not violate the 14th Amendment and use Oyez.org as your research.

Should there be political parties in the<br> United States?
elena-s [515]

Answer:

The United States are dominated by two major political parties. Since the 1850s, they have been the Democratic Party and the Republican Party. This two-party system is based on laws, party rules and custom, not specifically outlined in the US Constitution. Various small minor parties come and go and occasionally win minor offices at the state and local level. Local offices are often nonpartisan.

Did the victory at Salamis change the status of lower-class Athenian citizens? How and why?
Vesnalui [34]
It did change for the better. When Themistocles managed to beat the Persians, he got huge support from the lower-class people who saw that he could defend them in case of an invasion. He used this to get more power and this resulted with them getting the feeling of being more free and the democratic society prospered.
